I’ve Been Intending To Do This…

It is with immense excitement and gratitude that I announce the official launch of Intended Consulting! After nearly two years of ideation, months of hard work, dedication, and a passion for making a positive impact, I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter in my career.

Over the past two years, both professionally and personally, my journey has been marked by profound challenges that have shaped my resilience and direction. Professionally, I navigated the complexities of being part of a significant acquisition by Salesforce in 2022 of a company I poured my heart and soul into. The company was Traction on Demand, a Canadian-based consulting firm that was one of the greatest lights in my life. It brought me to where I am in my career, countless invaluable lessons learned, an amazing array of friends and mentors, and most importantly, my soon-to-be husband.

After thoughtful consideration and introspection, I made the decision to depart Salesforce post-acquisition. This choice was driven by a deep reflection on the alignment between my career aspirations and the evolving direction of the organization. The shifts in the organizational landscape brought about a re-evaluation of the purpose and nature of the work, and it became evident that the new direction was not in harmony with my long-term career goals. I recognized the importance of maintaining a sense of purpose in my work and staying true to the trajectory I had envisioned for my career.

Simultaneously, on a deeply personal level, last year was marked by the loss of my father. The emotional weight of navigating the grieving process, managing responsibilities, and maintaining a sense of normalcy amidst such a significant personal loss added an extra layer of complexity to an already demanding professional landscape.

Through these experiences, I've gained a deeper understanding of my own strengths, both personally and professionally. Both hardships have taught me the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the power of community and support during times of adversity. This resilience is what has brought me to finally taking the path I had dreamt for myself  - creating something of my own to nurture and grow.

While today Intended consists of myself, I am excited to reflect on our growth in the months and years to come. Who knows what the future holds, but when you care enough and you have a strong sense of determination, the possibilities are endless.
